Many people believe that we are souls put on this earth to experience life as a means to learning lessons and evolving spiritually.

You might hear them say that when something bad happens it is for the highest good, that you will learn and grow from it, or that there are hidden blessings involved.

What stands out for me is that you only hear people talk about these life lessons when things are going wrong.  Is it not probable that we are also here to experience lessons about love, joy, and success?

Consider these life experiences:

  • Learning to receive
  • Being loved unconditionally
  • Creativity
  • Connecting with nature
  • Living your passion
  • Loving someone with all your heart
  • The joy of uplifting others
  • Experiencing the miracle of carrying and giving birth to a child

Just imagine how your energy will shift when your awareness expands to include the full range of life lessons, the good as well as those that might feel more challenging.

I would love to hear about some of the beautiful life lessons you have experienced.  You can share by clicking on  “Comments” under the title of this post.

Smiling: When you smile, mood enhancing chemicals are released into your brain, giving you that feel good feeling.  Smiles are contagious and people around you will get a free mood boost too.

Gratitude: It seems to be human nature to focus on what is wrong.  A simple shift to appreciating the blessings before you will improve your mood and open your mind to greater possibilities in life.

Exercise:  Most people know that exercise releases feel good endorphins into your brain.  It is also a great way to relieve stress and clear your busy mind.

Edit Your Input: It seems like the majority of our “entertainment” these days focuses on conflict, violence and other negative or depressing subjects.  Studies show that your brain cannot tell the difference between your reactions to these make believe situations and real life.  Choose instead to watch and read things that leave you feeling positive and uplifted.

De-clutter Your Life: Being surrounded by clutter impacts your mood in a negative way.  When your environment is simple and clean you will feel lighter and freer, as well as proud of yourself for what you have accomplished.

Dance to the Music:  The music you choose carries energy and will impact how you feel.  Choose to soak your soul in upbeat rhythms and positive lyrics that inspire you.  And then, just dance!

I’m Curious: What is your favorite free mood booster?  You can share your answer by commenting on this post.

I’m hearing a lot of talk about self-doubt lately.  It seems like there is a confidence crisis going on.

We all come into this world with everything we need to create an amazing life.  We also come with gifts and talents to share with the world.  When we listen to thoughts and beliefs that say we are not worthy, capable, or good enough, we dim the light of our true selves.  We forget who we are.

Step into self-confidence by remembering who you are at the core and that you are completely worthy and capable.  There is no other possibility.  Stand tall, be yourself, and start doing what feels right for you.  You don’t have to do big things if you don’t feel called to do so.  The greatest gift you can give to yourself and those around you is to choose self-confidence and let what you say and do come from your heart.
