Stress Strategies: The Mental Realm

Stress shows up in the mental realm as thoughts and beliefs, many of which are simply programming from our childhood and no longer true. Try these strategies for shifting to a more stress free state.
- When your thoughts are negative or out of control, think of something you are grateful for or someone you love. Your mind can only focus on one thought at a time.
- Eliminate words like “should” and “have to” from your language and thoughts.
- Learn to say no and do not take on more than you can handle
- Remember that stress is not bigger than you. It is actually something you create through your thoughts and you can choose to control it or let it go at any time.
